March 24

"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God -- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God." John 1:12-13

Jennifer and Madison are spending the day at Disney's Magic Kingdom with the Crosier family, who are in town for spring break. I'm sure they are enjoying a little mommy, daughter time!!

Kyle has had several quite days in a row. We are so thankful for the much needed peace the Lord has given both Kyle and our family over the past few days. Just for clarification, I'm not referring to having the house to myself while the rest of the family is in Florida......

I spoke with Kyle’s nurse and they are going to try Kyle on CPAP again later today. This will be the first time they have attempted CPAP since Kyle’s surgery. Please pray that Kyle's body will be strong enough to support his breathing without the ventilator! It’s hard to believe it’s only been 8 days since his surgery….
Feedings continue to go well, he is up to 10 cc’s every three hours and they plan to increase his feedings by 1 cc every six hours. Kyle’s weight is at 790 grams (1 lb. 12 oz.) Yesterday they changed Kyle back into an enclosed isolette. Since his surgery his isolette did not have a top to allow the surgeon better access. Madison and I joke about the smell of the enclosed isolette because it tends to have a unique odor….

We are so thankful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers!! As hard has this ordeal has been, we continue to gather strength from all of you! God bless each and every one of you!

Much Love,

Joe, Jennifer, Madison and Kyle

Dear Joe, Jen, Madison and Kyle,

We much appreciate the good news of the last few days. You all needed some welcome relief for the stressful times. Also, it's great to know that your sense of humor is still intact, Joe! Your blog entry was quite funny... We'll specifically pray that Kyle does well with the CPAP. May the happy three in Fla. have a relaxing visit together. Talked to your Dad today. He filled me in on the latest news. We love our entire family so much!! May God continue to bless and support you all!

Much Love and Many Prayers,

Aunt Lynn and Uncle Bob

Joe,
It is so good to hear your "voice" in today's blog entry. Your faith and humor are a blessing.

We have been away for a couple of days, sharing an anniversary with some dear friends and enjoying spring burst forth in the middle Georgia mountains. We went straight to the computer upon our return, and it was so heartening to find good news. We are praising God for every ounce Kyle gains, and praying that his breathing will improve so the ventilator will be history.

Thank you so much for continuing to keep us updated while Jennifer and Madison enjoy their time together.

Love,
Aunt Karen

Hey Joe, you are such an awesome Dad to keep us updated on baby Kyle. We all love to watch his progress, even the kids are amazed by how special he is. So glad Madison gets time with Jen. I am sure the distance is challenging for all. Take care of yourself, don't feel too lonely! We will continue to pray for more and more quiet and peaceful days. Hi to Madison, Jen and sweet Kyle.
Love and Prayers, Mary Beth, Earl, Chrissy, Michal, Mark and David Beebe

Dear Joe, Jennifer and Madison,
I am glad Jen and Madison are having a chance to spend some special time together. I hope that you, Joe, are catching up with work and rest and preparing for everyone's return home.

I got to see Stephanie yesterday. She sends her love.

It sounds as if Kyle is doing well. I hope that is he successful on CPAP. I will be praying for his continued growth and strength.
Love you,
Aunt Kathie
