Mother's Day

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life." Proverbs 31:10-12

Kyle is doing well and continues to switch between the nasal cannula and CPAP every 6 hours. Kyle's respitatory therapist is going to recommend that they increase the amount of time Kyle spends on nasal cannula. It is so nice to see Kyle with clothes on. Madison is already a great big sister...or 'Sissy' as we have been calling her. Jennifer and I are beginning to worry that Madison will be 'hogging' Kyle when we eventually get him home to Ohio....dressing him up in outfits and push him around in her doll strollers.

Yesterday members of the Fighting 501st Legion, a worldwide organization of dedicated Star Wars fans, visted us at the Ronald McDonald House. These dedicated men and women were in town at the Orlando Science Center for a documentary, Heart of an Empire: The Life and Times of the Fighting 501st. The documentary is based on all the smiles they provide to sick children.....an escape, a little vacation, when the parents and the child don't have to think about anything that's going wrong, or the worst that can happen.

Today we got to spend a little family time together with Madison....we went to Disney's Blizzard Beach and had a blast on all the water rides and slides.

I would like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's and a big thank you!!!!

In Christ,

Joe, Jennifer, Madison and Kyle

It is a blessing that you were able to spend Mothers Day together and do some fun things. We are so thankful for Kyle's progress and improving health. Our Sunday School class and our church have been praying for him, and they are very happy to hear the good reports. The pictures of Madison and Kyle are so sweet. I know Madison will grow up to be a wonderful Mommy also, with the beautiful example of her own Mother.
God bless and keep thee and make His face to shine upon thee.

Hi Jennifer, Joe and Madison,
Happy Mother's Day!!! What a special day for you. It is wonderful that Kyle has been doing so well and that you are all together again. What more can a mother ask for? Stephanie is in Spain for a study abroad program, so she is greatly missed this Mother's Day.
I am so excited that Kyle is progressing nicely on the nasal cannula and growing so quickly. Sounds as if you all will be heading home for Ohio soon. Yeah!
Much love to all of you!

I am so glad to hear that Kyle is doing so great. I can't wait for him to get on nasal cannula full time. Rylee wants him to join the club. Atleast they both have big cribs now. He looks so cute in his clothes. Isn't it lots of fun to dress them up. I hope that you had a great mother's day Jennifer. I will see you soon.

How very thoughtful of Joe to write the Blog on Mother's Day. It sounds as though you have wonderful diversions throughout your visits so Madison does not become overwhelmed with hospital time. Considering what a draining trial this time has been there have been many blessings along the way.
Jennifer, what ever happened to the hernia situation? Will Kyle need to have that addressed at some point?
I am excited for you return to Ohio. It seems as though that could occur very soon.
Kelley and I also keep friends posted on Kyle's condition and progress. Many ask and many more have prayed for him.
The wife of my young pastor gave birth on Saturday. The baby girl, named Kieran, weighed 5 lbs. 8 ozs. That is a weight I normally think of as quite petite. She would seem large compared to Kyle's birth weight. Thankfully, he is almost there now!
Enjoy your day! Laura

This had to be a most special mother's day for all of you. I'm so thankful that you were all able to celebrate it. Let's pray that you will all spend father's day back home in Stow.

What a great example you all have been of strength and family. God bless all of you.
