7 week pictures

"For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield." Psalms 5:12

As promised, here are some pictures of Kyle at 7 weeks. My Aunt Jean had a great idea and picked up some red straws which are much easier to see. Kyle's length is 14 1/2 inches now. Because of the glare of Kyle's isolette, when taking a picture, we have always had to have the camera up against the glass surrounding Kyle's isolette. Today, for the first time, when I put the camera up against the glass, Kyle's entire body was to big to fit into the frame of the picture. Therefore, I had to move it back, which also means that there is a slight glare in the pictures. Anyways, the point of all my babbling about this is that it is another example of how much Kyle has grown!

Kyle is 7 weeks old but the medical staff say he's 32 weeks old. They continue to measure his age as if he was still inside of me. It is hard to imagine he is still not supposed to be born for another 2 months! It is heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time to watch such a tiny creature work so hard during what is supposed to be a time in his life when he is still insulated from pain and suffering. Most 32-week old babies are still safe and snug in the womb, but Kyle has had heart surgery, countless needle sticks, three serious infections, and a daily struggle to breathe. He is so brave!

Much Love,

Jennifer, Joe, Madison and Kyle

Hey Jenny & Family
Boy are those pictures so very good. The second one expecially is my favorite, of cource I love them all.He looks like he is getting so big now and putting on weight every day, witch is good.I sure hope they get his infection cleared up soon and then he can really start growing. It's so sad they have to go thru so much, I feel so sorry for them and having all those IV's put in kills you to have to see him I know.I used to hate it when they had to put them in Emily's head to, they told us the same thing, it 's no worse than in the arm, but it looks worse to me.They are strong little fellow I guess, they have to be. Bless their little hearts.

Hope you have had a good day, know it has been hard with Joe and Madison gone, but they will be back soon I know. You can spend more time with Kyle this week.

All the pictures were so good you all took Sunday and also today. I love you putting them on here and I have already printed them off to send to Jean, she is picture crazy.

Well you take care of yourself and give baby Kyle a big hug and kiss for me, sure wish I could see him, I love babies and kids so much, but maybe one day I will get to see him.Have a good week and I will be praying for you all in Ohio and Orlando as well. I know Joe and Madison needs prayer to as they hate being away from you to. May God bless you all extra special this week. I love you all.

JESUS LOVES EACH OF YOU,
Aunt Sandra

Hi Jennifer,
I love the pictures! Kyle is growing and getting stronger every day. He looks like you did as a newborn infant. Just beautiful, of course!
I know your daily visits offering love, touch and cuddling are helping him draw strength from you, just in a different way than most 32 week babies.
I am thankful so many people have been visiting recently.
Praise God for all the blessings He has provided during this difficult time.
I am proud of you, stay strong and faithful, God will provide what you all need.
You are in my thoughts and prayers always,
Love Mom

What a difference a pound makes! Kyle looks so big compared to his early pictures. While it's not the best of circumstances - the best being his growing safely in your womb - God's "Plan B" brings the best medical knowledge and an abundance of love and prayers from people Kyle may never have otherwise known. And thanks to your blog, we have come to love Kyle and be made even more aware of God's faithfulness. The day will soon come when Kyle's infection will be gone, his breathing will be less labored, and his treatment will be less invasive. We are especially praying for his veins and oxygen levels at this time. God bless you all.
Love,
Aunt Karen

Hi Jennifer, The pictures are, indeed, encouraging. From this end Kyle looks so much larger and really quite healthy....if he were not attached to tubing he would look like a beautiful baby sleeping peacefully. Your idea of posting weekly anniversary shots of him was inspired and the red straw does make a difference!
I am sorry that Kyle, thus you, are having to face another infection...it must be alarming but I imagine not out of the ordinary. And, he is growing despite these challenges.
Still thinking of you frequently throughout the day and lifting you up in prayer at those times. Laura
