"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

As I write this first entry from home, I do so with heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have kept up with us and sent words of encouragement and comfort. We have been overwhelmed by the care and concern you have shown to Kyle and to our family over the past few months. Your prayers have been so appreciated and we know they have been a part of Kyle’s miraculous recovery! It is hard to believe that after Kyle has endured heart surgery, 69 days on life support/ventilator, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), anemia, bilateral hernias, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD), bilateral renal calculi (small kidney stones), jaundice, aspiration, Respiratory Distress Syndrome, 3 bouts with pneumonia, a yeast infection, hyperglycemia, 11 blood transfusions, high blood pressure, and Stage 3 Retinopathy of Prematurity requiring Lasik Eye Surgery...we are FINALLY home!!!

This has probably been the best week of my life. The true joys of motherhood have begun. Everything is going great...or it is the lack of sleep talking!!! Ha ha! Actually, Kyle is such an easy going baby. He never cries, unless he is hungry, which seems to be every four hours like clock work. Yesterday we had our first doctors appointment with Kyle's pediatrician. Kyle has gained 6 ounces since we left the hospital on Monday...he now weighs 5 pounds 15 ounces and will very soon be tipping the scales at 6 pounds.

Several people have asked me how baby Rylee is doing. She was examined by the retina specialist on Monday and there is no surgery this week. He is going to check her again Saturday as her eyes are still hanging out around Stage 2-3 ROP with no plus (which is a good thing). Rylee just needs to master the bottles and then she'll be able to go home. Although she knows exactly what to do...she is quite a feisty one! Some days she does great and finishes most of her bottles, but others she is a diva and would rather be tube fed. Please continue to keep her in your prayers...both for the feeding issue and her eyes.

God bless you all.

Much Love,

Jennifer, Joe, Madison and Kyle

It's me again,Aunt Sandra
What great pictures of Madison and Kyle and he looks like he is so happy to be with his big sister and she looks so happy to be with him also. He looks so alert and even smiling and just looks so content.I am so happy for you all. I know Madison will be such a good big sister and they will love each other so much.

I was so glad to see some new pictures, have checked every time I get on my computer and hope by chance I could see him and Madison. I know you are busy being home, but thanks for sending us some good news that everything is going so well.Take a few minutes and let us have more pictures from time to time and also some news how things are going.

I will be praying for Rylee and hope all goes well and she gets to go home soon also. Does she live in Orlando or out of state somewhere? She is sure a beautiful baby also.

Well again Jennifer I can't thank you enough for those beautiful pictures and hope to get more real soon, hope I don't sound like a big pest, but just don't want to lose contact with you all now that you are home. Have a great weekend and enjoy every minute together and know you will.God bless you all.

Today's pictures are sooooooo adorable! Madison and Kyle have found their groove, and happiness is reflected in their beautiful faces.

In today's entry, when you listed all of Kyle's challenges over the past months, it sounded overwhelming. But we all have learned once again that faith in God and taking one day at a time is how to get through those overwhelming circumstances in our lives. We may not all have your particular struggles, but when life happens and circumstances overwhelm us, we can remember how your family found peace and hope in Christ through God's Word and prayer.

Thank you for the privilege of continuing to share your blessings with us. We also look forward to praying over any future needs you may share.
Love,
Aunt Karen

Thank you for keeping Rylee and I in your prayers. Please let everyone else know that we appreciate it also. Rylee was seen today and things look good. He is going to check her in another week. He thinks that her eyes may repair themself. We are still working on the cannula and should be off today or tomorrow. I love the new pic of Madison and Kyle. Susy, Nancy, and Judy from level 2 asked about you guys today. They wish you the best.

What beautiful pictures. Madison is obviously extremely happy to be with her baby brother (and, certainly to have her Mom and Dad home at the same time) but the amazing thing is Kyle also appears to be celebrating and equally happy to be with his sister. These will be treasured pictures. They are already quite precious.
Jennifer, it is wonderful you are so grateful to be altogether and to realize how special it is to be a mother----despite the sacrifices moms make the rewards are much greater. Love to you all. Laura

Dear Jenny and Family, Sorry I was in China for the homecoming. So glad all went well and Kyle is doing fine. Wonderful pictures that made me cry. We love you all and keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I hope you can print this entire blog for his baby book of treasured thoughts and prayers that have made this journey of love and faith that connected so many for his battle to live. He is so beautiful. And thank you Jenny for your constant updates on his progress. I hope he will someday see the love and attention you and Joe have had in his life since he entered the world. Love Aunt Dawn and Uncle Bob
