"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." ~ 1 Peter 5:7

I was released from the hospital yesterday, so I am reporting to you from our new digs...the Ronald Mc Donald House of Orlando! The home (a picture of which is on the left) is a beautiful Victorian house that is on the campus of the hospital Kyle is staying at. The house is available by doctor referral to families from out of town that have a child who will be in the hospital for an extended period of time. The people who run the house are amazing and truly try to make it "home away from home" for their guests. We have our own bedroom and bath, plus there are common areas such as a playroom, gathering room, laundry room, and of course a kitchen. For only $15.00 a night, we can't beat it!
...... ............ ........... .........

Kyle has had a quiet day yesterday and today...thankfully! He finished the last of his heart medicine and he will have an EKG sometime today before 5:00 to see if the ductus has closed. When the doctor was listening to Kyle's chest last night he did not hear the heart murmur, so we are optimistic about the results of today's EKG. We'll keep you posted!

... ... ... ... ...
Madison is arriving in Orlando today!!! I cannot wait to hug her when she gets off the plane. I have not saw her in 17 days and it seems like a lifetime. Yesterday Joe and I met with a Child Life Specialist for advice on how to handle Madison meeting Kyle. It took Joe and I a couple days to get used to seeing him. He is so tiny...words cannot describe how small 1.6 lbs are when that weight is a living human being. Anyways, we met with a Child Life Specialist and she had some great ideas. She took a few Polaroid pictures of Kyle that she said we should show Madison before she meets him. Each picture shows something different Madison will encounter, such as the machines that surround him or the many different wires/tubes that are hooked up to him. She gave us child like expressions to describe things. For example, the IV that is hooked up to Kyle's belly..."this is how baby Kyle gets a drink when he is thirsty, the tube goes right into his belly just like it did when he was in mommy's belly." On Sunday, a Child Life Specialist is going to meet with Madison and do some activities with her to see how she is absorbing everything.

... ... ... ...
Words can not describe how grateful we are to everyone that has been praying for us and baby Kyle. Throughout this entire ordeal, we have felt God holding us in the palm of His hand. "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

... ... ...
God Bless You,

Jennifer, Joe, Madison and Kyle

Jennifer and Joe, I told Kelley just yesterday that I was certain you would have the option of staying at a Ronald McDonald House. Indeed, they have a wonderful reputation that goes far beyond being financially manageable. And yet, it must provide relief that it is affordable.
Every day it sounds as though you and Kyle are in just the right facility for the challenges you are facing. And, it is my guess/hope Madison won't know enough to be alarmed by all that is going on regarding Kyle. I do think she is very fortunate to have the opportunity to see him. We all have a tendency to fear what we imagine more than that which is reality.
The prayers and concern continue. Kelley and I think of each of you continuously. Laura

Dear Jennifer, Joe and Madison,
We are encouraged to hear that the last couple of days have been without "hiccups". Madison will have much love to share with her little brother. It will be good for you all to be together. We pray that God will genuinely awaken her tender and nurturing characteristics as she meets and spends time with Kyle this weekend. She certainly has great role models in her parents.

Would you please publish your address there in Orlando? I gather from your recent blog that the hospital is called Florida Hospital, but if you could provide the address for the Ronald McDonald House, that would be great. Your new digs look beautiful, and just another one of God's blessings through all this. We look forward to your report of the EKG, and trust that soon Kyle will begin taking feedings again.

Please try not to overdo it too soon. It's less than a week since your C-section, so you and Kyle are both still "patients". We love you all.

Hi.
I'm so happy that Madison is arriving in Florida today. We had the best time yesterday celebrating her Big Sisterhood in class as we rejoiced with her and enjoyed the cookies and goodie bags. She showed off her "Big Sis" shirt proudly. I saw her intermitently during Family Fun Night running from activity to activity only slowing down to wave and say a quick hello. I'm sure her energy and love will transfer easily to Kyle. I will continue to pray for all of you. Take care.

Dear Kyle,

You have a wonderful Mommy, Daddy and Big Sis that love you very much. Your Mommy has been reporting on your progress almost every day. I check once a day to see how you are doing. You are a fighter and we keep praying that someday you will be big enough to leave the hospital like other little ones. May God continue to hold you in the palm of his hand.
Love to you, Mommy, Daddy, and Madison. Sue (a friend of Grandma Dottie)

Jen, Joe, Madison and baby Kyle,

You guys are truly amazing, we have been thinking of you and praying for all. It seems that each day Kyle will continue to grow stonger. The home of Disney looks to have such a wonderful facility for NICU etc. I (MB)will be travelling to north Tampa the week of March 5th, and would be happy to do anything needed since I will be so close. Take care of yourselves, I am sure seeing Madison has been very special, I know it has to be very hard to be away from home. We will keep the prayers coming.

Lots of Love, The Beebe's

We have been praying and thinking of you and your family often.
We wish you continued good days and hope to see you soon.
