"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him." I Samuel 1:27

Kyle Joseph Kupiec shocked us by making his big debut last night/this morning...He arrived at 12:48 am weighing 1LB. 6 oz, and is 11 inches long. Kyle is a fighter and is doing better than expected. A very positive sign is that he wants to breath on his own and the doctors have been able to take him off the mechanical ventilator for now and are using a less invasive form of breathing treatment. The doctors have warned us that this is the "honeymoon stage", but said he is doing remarkably well considering he is only 25 weeks.

With all of the prayers being offered up to God on Kyle's behalf, he is already safe in His care. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!!!

I will try and update everyone later on today.

Much Love,

Jennifer, Joe and Madison

Dear Jennifer,
What a shock -- even though you have had plenty of obstacles to overcome it seemed as though you were doing better. I will go right now to my quiet, Holy place and pray for each of you. Thank you for that privilege. Laura

Dear Jennifer:

I spoke with Joe this morning just as he arrived in Orlando. So glad to hear you are both doing as well as can be expected. Thank you for working so hard to keep Kyle with you until he reached the twenty-fifth week. I know in my heart that everything will be fine. All of you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

All our love,

Joe, Angela, and Katie

Jennifer,
We have so many questions, yet we are excited to see what God is going to do in the life of this precious child! The reports of his crying immediately at birth, and his breathing, are very encouraging, and we know God will continue to be faithful as ya'll face the challenges of the weeks ahead. Georgians (and beyond) are on their knees on your behalf. I am happy to see from Joe, Sr.'s comment that Joe is now there with you.
We love you so much, and are so proud of you.

Hi Joe and Jennifer,
Madison made it through the night (with a little bribing)! We are going out to dinner at her choice of restaurants and has earned a gift of her choice for being such a trooper these last two weeks. She has told me that I owe her a Nintendo NS game ... what a deal considering all she's been through.

You take care of each other and us grandparents will take care of Madison for you. We are waiting for some more info on Kyle (who does he look like?, etc. etc.)

I will be staying tonight and Mom will be taking care of Madison Wednesday as she is off on Wednesday. We'll coordinate our schedules and involve Dad in them also.

I am sure that you will keep us posted as to your release date, plans to 'visit home', Florida visit, etc.

Much Love,
Pattie, Bill and Jesse

He is holding each of you in His palm. Keep us posted...

Jennifer,
Congratulations to you and Joe!! That's fantastic that Kyle is
trying to breathe on his own and that they already took him off the ventilator(unbelievable)!! With all of my NICU years of experience, I have never seen this with 25 wker! We will pray that he stays off but if he does have to be back on it, please know that this is extremely common. He's very small so he may just get tired of having to breathe on his own. We will also pray that he will not experience any complications or setbacks. Please let us know more details (when you are able) as to what happened last night that they had to do the c-section. I'm so glad you made it to 25wks! The Lord is able to do more than we can ever ask or imagine!!
Love,
Anna

Dear Jennifer,
What a special, tiny baby boy Kyle is. He has already touched the hearts of people he does not even know. And, what an amazing miracle it is to even have hope that he might someday be a thriving little boy. He appears to be a fighter with a strong spirit to live and where he cannot fight, hopefully, we all can do it for him by presenting him to the Lord and petitioning on his behalf. I pray that each day with him will be a blessing to you and to your family and that another day will dawn with added blessings. Laura Austin
