“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” Psalm 68:19

Thankfully, the bleeding has begun to subside. Praise God! The doctors are not sure what is causing it, but think that it may be due to Partial Placental Abruption. This is where there is a separation of the placenta from the uterine lining. Treatment consists of bed rest (which obviously I am already on!) and increased monitoring of the baby and I. Unfortunately, there is not a way to diagnose for sure, as doing an examination is to risky because it can increase the bleeding or bring on contractions.

It has been a very long week being separated from the rest of the family, especially Madison. She cheered at a basketball game this morning and won an award for "Best Effort." It breaks my heart to miss these moments. Joe and Madison were going to come down to Orlando for the weekend, but between President's Day and the Daytona 500, flights were outrageous. Instead they'll be coming down on Sunday February 25th for 4 days. It will be so good to see them!

Once again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It is God who strengthens us, yesterday, today and in the future.

God Bless You All,

Jennifer, Joe and Madison

Dear Jennifer:

So glad to hear the bleeding has subsided and that you have made it another day. All of us here continue to have you and the baby in our thoughts and prayers.

It won't be long and Joe and Madison will be with you. Take care, get some rest, and we hope to talk to you soon.

Love,

Joe, Angela, and Katie

My dear Jennifer,

This morning your nurse told me you had a good night and the bleeding is almost gone. Praise God for answered prayers. I felt better after hearing that from your nurse and I know you are receiving the best care available.

You are completely in His hands now but, I would love to wrap my arms around you to comfort you or sit quietly in your room just to be near. It breaks my heart too, to miss these moments with you.

I know the many phone calls have been hard on you so I will do my best to keep them to a minimum, your rest is so important now.

I saw Joe yesterday and Madison was off to a friends house so she is busy being a 7 year old, that is good.

Just seven days and Joe and Madison will be there with you and baby, Kyle. They will be glad to leave the snow for a while too, I bet.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you or if there is something you want me to take care of here in Ohio.

You are in my thoughts and prayers all day long. Rest in HIS love and comfort.

I love you,

Mom

Hi Jen! We know you'll continue to be blessed and as each day passes Kyle is getting stronger and more ready to be born. You will have many more moments to share with your growing family. As we all know it's impossible to be two places at once, as much as we might like to be. You are doing your most important work in Orlando right now. Hopefully, the next week will fly by. I ditto what your Mom said about the phonecalls, but know that we think about you day and night. Much love from all of us! God Bless!!!!

Jennifer, I remember all too well how long these days were for me thirty years ago, yet, I had the advantage of being in my hometown hospital with family only an hour away and my husband only minutes away. Kelley was my first child so there were no other children with whom to be concerned. I cannot imagine how much harder it may be for you that you are isolated and dealing with your emotions more or less alone. This truly does force one to turn to God for solace and understanding. My prayer for you now is not just for PEACE through this trial and for safety and health for Kyle, but also that you would totally draw upon the Lord for strength. I am praying that you truly HEAR GOD'S VOICE.
From here in Hudson it sounds as though you are doing remarkably well. Blessings on you, Laura Austin

Hi Jennifer,
You are almost to another milestone tomorrow. Hurray!! Other than missing Joe and Madison, you are definitely NOT missing the snow and cold.

I dragged Bill with me today to learn how to snowshoe. It was fun and easy to do. Madison and I saw funny 'animal footprint' snowshoes on one of our hikes at Penitentiary Glen. I told her I would learn how to showshoe and than take her. If the snow lasts, I will take her March 3rd after her game.

We are praying for you. I even used Grandma Phil's rosary yesterday and I know that she is rooting for you and Kyle from heaven.

Love,
Pattie
